A senior Indian military officer has clarified that media reports claiming its army is carrying out “pinpoint strikes” inside Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) are “fake”.
The Press Trust of India (PTI) while quoting sources said intelligence-based targeted strikes are being conducted by the Indian army to neutralise mostly “Pakistani and foreign terrorists, and the collateral damage has been very negligible in these operations”.
The reports of Indian army's action in AJK across the Line of Control (LoC) are fake, ANI quoted Military Operations DG Lt Gen Paramjit Singh as saying.

Last week, Pakistan had presented "irrefutable evidence" of India's sponsorship of terrorism in the country and called on the international community to take notice.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and chief military’s spokesperson Major General Babar Iftikhar, in a joint media conference, had categorically stated that India was sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and is supporting terrorism in Pakistan.
The country's top diplomat and the military spokesperson had also presented a dossier detailing India's involvement in terror attacks in Pakistan during the media conference. Multiple video clips and audio clips, along with documents, were presented during the media conference of Indian handlers and terrorists communicating with each other and Indian intelligence handlers passing on instructions to terrorists in Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of four more innocent Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by occupation forces.
During the last one year, Indian occupation forces have martyred more than three hundred innocent Kashmiris including women and children, in fake encounters and so-called "cordon and search" operations in complete violation of the international humanitarian laws.
Pakistan has been warning the international community since last year about India government’s intention to launch a false flag operation against it in a bid to divert the world’s attention from its illegal action of revoking the IIOJK’s autonomy and human rights violations being committed by occupation forces in the disputed Himalayan territory.
