ISLAMABAD:

The anti-harassment ombudsperson has sought about a month's worth of footage captured by the cameras installed in the branch of a private bank as it probes a case of workplace harassment.

In a notice issued on Monday by the registrar of the federal ombudsperson for harassment, Rehman Shehzad, Ombudsperson Kashmala Tariq has asked the president of the bank to appear in person on November 13 and submit a report on what action has been taken against the accused manager, Usman Gohar.

The ombudsperson has also ordered to submit CCTV footage as recorded by the bank for the period October 1 to November 9.

The notices have been sent to the head of the human resources of the bank and its regional head. Advocate Jawad Khursheed Warraich had filed a petition against the former bank manager for harassing his client in the workplace. The bank already institutes a strict dress code, particularly for its female employees.
