The Pakistan Army soldiers responding to unprovoked fire targeted Indian post which initiated fire, it added.
Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB) have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-calibre mortars and automatic weapons.
This year, India has committed 2,581 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 19 martyrdoms and serious injuries to 200 innocent civilians.
Last month, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, during a visit to forward areas at Chamb Sector along the disputed border, asked troops to extend all-out support to the local population affected by unprovoked Indian ceasefire violations.
Senior Indian diplomat summoned
Meanwhile, a senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to register Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the LoC, resulting in serious injuries to the innocent civilian.

New Delhi was called upon to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding, investigate this and other such incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace along the LoC and the WB, the official statement said.
