At least two people were killed while another was injured in separate incidents in Abbottabad on Wednesday.
In the first incident, a man was killed while his brother was grievously injured when they were attacked by rivals near Sethi Mosque.
Police officers said that Waseem Gul and his brother Naseem were attacked by members of a rival group with knives near the mosque on Wednesday morning.
As a result of the attack, Waseem - who works at a milk shop in Haripur - was killed while Naseem suffered serious injuries.
Naseem was rushed to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
Later, police arrested four members of the rival group including a man and his two sons while one of their accomplices fled. Those arrested were identified as Javed Zaman, Umer Javed, and Junaid Javed. They have been booked under sections for murder while further investigations are underway.
In the second incident, a young army captain, identified as Haris of the Army Medical Corps Abbottabad was crushed to death by a speeding truck.
Witnesses said that Haris was going home on Wednesday evening when he saw a truck speeding down the road. He saw another passerby outside the Ayub Medical College who was in the path of the truck. Haris jumped to push them out of the way. While doing so, he was struck by the speeding truck, killing him.
Later, his body was handed over to his family by the police after all the medico-legal formalities had been completed.
