Senate panel meeting cancelled on CDA no-show

A meeting of the Senate House Committee on Wednesday postponed due to absence of Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss maintenance work at the Parliament Lodges and particularly the upkeep of suites meant for the senators. However, the meeting was cancelled due to absence of CDA representatives.

Chairman of the Committee Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Senator Samina, Senator Kalsoom Parveen and Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi were present in the meeting.

Initially the meeting started with Senator Abbasi in the chair and later joined by Mandviwalla. The committee unanimously decided to postpone the meeting due to absence of CDA officials.

The agenda of the meeting was to get briefing regarding maintenance work at Parliament Lodges.
