Aaminah Haq responds to Amna Ilyas' body shaming comments

In a clip that recently made rounds on social media, Amna Ilyas and Sadaf Kanwal can be seen body-shaming former model

It wasn't too long ago that actor Agha Ali was called out for body-shaming when an old clip from a talk show appearance he had once made began doing the rounds on social media. Now, another old clip from the Hassan Sheheryar Yasin's talk show is being circulated on Instagram wherein models Amna Ilyas and Sadaf Kanwal as his guests.

 

 

 

The aforementioned episode had previously made headlines due to Sadaf's problematic stance on the #MeToo movement and her comments regarding Mahira Khan. In this particular clip, the two models can be seen engaged in a harmless game of guessing the celebrity. When asked about a certain former Pakistani supermodel, Ilyas pointed out how she had gained weight in a rather appalling manner.

HSY was left shocked as the two models high-fived over this comment. The duo was talking about the former model and actor, Aamina Haq. The Mehendi star has now taken to social media and addressed the matter in a graceful manner.

 

"A few of you have tagged me in something a certain model/actor said about me," she posted on her Instagram story. "Truth be told, if body shaming me brought some small shred of joy in her life, then you're welcome. Unhappy people tend to gravitate towards hate, instead of kindness and compassion."
