An official of the Dolphin Force in Rawalpindi has been suspended and arrested after his links with criminal elements and involvement in criminal offences surfaced on Tuesday. The Rawalpindi Police Operations SSP issued suspension orders for the police officer after evidence against the patrolling police personnel came to light.
The SSP further directed to draft a charge-sheet against the suspended official. He said that the suspect has been taken into custody by the Sihala police and that he was involved in criminal activities. The SSP said that no police official will be allowed to take advantage of his uniform.
In this regard, City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younus said that such policemen were a stain on the police department and were the cause of defamation amongst people. He said that the suspended official would not be spared and given strict punishment.
