By making decisions on an ethnic basis, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is harming Sindh instead of serving its people, said Pak Sarzameen Party chairperson Mustafa Kamal on Friday.

Addressing public gatherings in Hyderabad, he said the incumbent rulers of the province had been given several chances by the masses but on failing to meet public expectations, they were trying to hide their failures behind various slogans.

"When the Muttahida Qaumi Movement says it will divide Sindh, PPP gets oxygen from this slogan. But the reality is neither can the MQM break Sindh, nor is PPP saving Sindh. Together they are protecting each other's rampant corruption and neither of them have anything to do with the people's rights," he stated.

He added that the Muhajir community should realise that it was not Sindhi people but the PPP that was wronging them.

Reflecting on the state of Sindh's second largest city, Kamal said Hyderabad was in ruins. "The people themselves must reconsider the rulers to whom they are handing over their future generations. Conditions in Hyderabad could still improve in [even] six months."

He further stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan only came to Sindh for visits of a few hours. "Even if he tries, he cannot understand Hyderabad's problems without visiting it," he asserted.
