Police claimed to have arrested three robbers in the provincial capital who were allegedly involved in murder during a robbery bid on Monday. As per details, the arrested suspects had been identified as Waqas Khalid, Hassan Sabir and Haris Zubair. A few days ago, the suspected robbers had shot dead a flour mill owner during a robbery bid. They had also looted at least Rs600,000 in cash from him. Police, after arresting the accused, claimed to have recovered a motorcycle, mobile phones, fake number plates and five pistols from their custody. Police officials said that the suspects had been involved in at least 80 robberies including bank robberies. The accused reportedly confessed to committing at least 22 robberies during the last two months after being released on bail. The suspects would not hesitate to murder the citizens who offered them resistance during robbery, the officials added.
