MULTAN:

Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mahmood has directed the Multan Development Authority (MDA) to improve its performance for beautification and uplifting of the city. Speaking at a meeting held to review the performance of the MDA and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Thursday, he said the authority should complete patchwork on the damaged roads for facilitating the citizens. The commissioner ordered improvement of the condition of the southern and northern bypasses in addition to the execution of the city beautification plan. Mahmood ordered WASA to prepare a working paper on out of order sewage lines and devise a plan to replace outdated lines. “The citizens have been facing a lot of problems on a daily basis,” he said. He added that all ongoing development schemes must be completed within the stipulated time to save public funds.
