Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed has responded to criticism over refusal to play third Twenty20 International (T20I) against England, during the recently concluded three-match series.
It was, earlier, reported that Sarfaraz was reluctant to play the third T20I, after staying on the bench for the entire tour, citing deep reservations.
After being persuaded by head coach-cum-chief selector, Misbahul Haq, skipper Babar Azam and batting coach, Younis Khan, Sarfaraz changed his mind and stepped onto the field with the side.
When a local journalist voiced his opinion on the matter while criticising the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their double-standards, Sarfaraz responded with a tweet which indicated that he is still motivated to play cricket despite facing criticism.

It must be noted that the Karachi-born missed a simple stumping chance of Moeen Ali, when he was on seven, which could have proven costly as the England all-rounder nearly took the game away from Pakistan. This led to severe criticism on social media with fans showcasing their reservations over Sarfaraz’s wicketkeeping credentials.
