FAISALABAD: The City District Government (CDG) has prohibited the entry of local buses and other public transport at Rajbah Sirwala Road and near Railway Maal Godown Road. The ban was imposed on the demand of local residents in the area and to control the heavy rush on this road especially during iftar. An announcement by the CDG stated that the order would be implemented and any violators would be dealt with strictly. “Buses and wagons were blocking the road and the situation became especially chaotic during iftar hours. There were large crowds and we needed to intervene. We may lift the ban after Ramazan but for this month it will be strictly implemented,” he added.
