Man gunned down in Mauripur

Investigation underway

KARACHI:

Unidentified assailants gunned down a man in New Ramzan Goth, within the jurisdiction of the Mauripur police station on Thursday.

The police and rescue workers rushed to the spot upon being informed and shifted the body to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Mauripur SHO Ghaffar Shah stated that the deceased had been identified as 50-year-old Ali Akbar Chandio, who belonged to Khairpur Nathan Shah. Chandio had recently come to Karachi and according to the police, his murder appeared to be an outcome of a personal enmity in his hometown.
