The annual International Conference on Education (ICE) kick-started on August 19 at the University of Education (UE) with the opening remarks of Vice-Chancellor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha (SI) citing various bottlenecks faced by the educational sector amid pandemic.
“E-conferences offer the safest avenue to continue the dissemination of knowledge safely among students in these times,” Dr Pasha said.
He highlighted that the UE’s International e-conference on ‘Education: Issues, trends, and prospects’ aims to bring about a great synergy of expertise from nationally and internationally renowned researchers and scholars.
Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, the chief guest of the conference said, “In the present times when the world is experiencing radical economic, political and educational changes, the educationists need to rethink, review and revise their plans, policies, structures, processes, and practices at large to adapt to the changing environment.”
He further said that new trends should also be adopted with a clear vision of a sustainable future.
Distinguished speakers including Prof Justin Dillon from the University of Exeter UK and Prof James O’Meara USA among others are expected to address the participants during the 10-day-long conference.
