HYDERABAD:

Sindh cane commissioner Umar Farooq Bulo has advised sugarcane farmers in the province to submit claims over cane quality premiums for the last 20 years at the respective sugar mills. In a statement on Monday, Bulo said that in light of the Supreme Court’s orders, the farmers would be paid the premium from 1999 to 2020. The commissioner said the farmers should submit a copy of the claimed premium in his office as well, while assuring that the payment would be made against the claims after scrutiny in two months’ time.
