The Universal Service Fund (USF) has reiterated its commitment to the provision of high-speed broadband services in unserved and underserved areas of the country. Talking to IT Minister Aminul Haq, USF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Haaris Mahmood Chaudhry gave details of the status of various USF projects aimed at providing high-speed mobile broadband services in unserved areas. The USF CEO told the minister that 75% work had been completed on the project, which would introduce the said services in Kohistan Lot (Kohistan, Batagram, Mansehra, Torghar, Haripur and Abbottabad). He added that 50% work had been completed on the Dadu Lot (Dadu, Jamshoro and Thatta) and Hyderabad Lot while 75% work had been completed on Bahawalpur Lot (Bahawalpur).
