With the holy month of Zilhaj having begun, Qawwal Aqdas Hashmi enthralled audiences as he performed for the ‘Sur Sangeet’ online musical programme organised by the Punjab Council of the Arts-Rawalpindi (PUCAR).
The programme, which aims to encourage and provide a platform for young artists, was anchored by Saima Khan.
The programme was a part of online activities launched by the arts council after the government imposed a lockdown to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The online programmes are broadcast on the council’s social media channels.
PUCAR Director Waqar Ahmed said that the council had always encouraged the young generation to step forward to unearth their hidden talent.
