‘Nominate Sister Ruth for Sitara-e-Imtiaz’
Sister Ruth Lewis passed away due to Covid-19
KARACHI:
The Sindh government has proposed to nominate late Sister Ruth Lewis, the Darul Sukoon in-charge who succumbed to Covid-19 on Monday, as a recipient of the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz in recognition of her services for differently-abled children.

In a letter written to the federal cabinet, the provincial government has moved the former to include Sister Ruth’s name in the list of nominees for the award to appreciate her work for the welfare and education of differently-abled children. Sister Ruth was one of the founding members of Darul Sukoon - a shelter for children with disabilities in Karachi.
