RWMC disinfects city

Teams conduct mechanical sweeping and special washing operation with disinfectants

RAWALPINDI:

To disinfect different parts of the city from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease, the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) on Sunday conducted another disinfection operation in different areas of the district. An RWMC spokesperson said that their teams conducted mechanical sweeping and special washing operation with disinfectants in which major and minor roads, streets, mosques, shops, bus stops at Kahuta, Murree, Kallar Syedan to arrest the spread of the pandemic. Moreover, cleanliness operations were also carried out in quarantine centres set up in different parts of the district. The authority also educated residents about preventive measures, urging them to frequently wash their hands, keep a distance with others, avoid hugging, and unnecessary visits to crowded places, the spokesperson said. He also urged the public to cooperate with concerned authorities to prevent the precious lives of the people by following precautionary instructions against the spread of coronavirus.
