GUJRANWALA:

A judicial magistrate on Tuesday handed over a pir in police custody for four days. The man has been arrested on charges over a rape complaint filed by a woman who had approached him for amulets seeking birth of a son.

Cantt Station House Officer (SHO) Ahmad Razzaq said that Pir Naseem, a resident of the Targari area had hired women who made house calls in the area telling women tales of his supernatural abilities. They said when women came to seek amulets and charms, he raped them and black mailed them using the videos he had made.

Finally, police said, two women, whose daughters were assaulted by the pir, reported the incident to the police and the media.

Hameeda Bibi* told the police that she took her daughter to the pir after relationships between her and her son-in-law deteriorated because they did not have a male child. She said she had asked him to provide an amulet for the couple so that they could have a son. The pir, she said, raped her daughter and made a video recording of the assault.

The SHO said that the pir had threatened them with leaking the video if action was taken against him. He said the police raided his house and arrested him red-handed. Some of his accomplices, however, have yet to be arrested.

Blind faith and lack of true education breeds these vulutres. As long as there is no change in the mindset these incidents would keep happening. Why would people bring in their young daughters and wives to these religious terrorist vultures, when it happens so often? Use your common sense, if the pir cannot give his blessings without being with the lady then he is totally fake even for a common man.
