Foolproof: Security plan for Ramazan

Sialkot police has assigned more than 600 police officers for special patrolling duties during Ramazan.

SIALKOT: The Sialkot police have assigned more than 600 police officers for special patrolling duties during Ramazan. The patrolling officers will monitor 580 mosques, Ramazan Bazaars, Imam bargahs, and seminaries located in the district. The decision was announced by District Police Officer (DPO) Bilal Sadiq Kamiana on Tuesday while talking to reporters. Additional SP Zahid Mehmood Gondal, SP (Investigation) Nasir Munif Qureshi and Zafar Malik, a senior member of the Sialkot District Peace Committee were also present on the occasion. The DPO said that the patrolling officers will be on duty during sehar, iftar and taraweeh timings to ensure law and order. He asked for active cooperation by the ulema, traders, journalists and the public in this regard.
