HYDERABAD:

A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker and his friend were injured in a drive-by shooting.

The pair was shot multiple times and were taken to Civil hospital and, according to MQM’s spokesman Mobin Ahmed are now out of danger.

Arshad Ali of the MQM’s Liaquat Colony sector and a Hyderabad Development Authority employee, Afzal, were attacked outside the Civic Centre building on Thandi Sarak Road on Monday. Witnesses say that men on motorcycles rode up and opened fire at Afzal and Ali. One of them was shot in the neck.

The incident sparked panic and markets dropped their shutters in fear. However, they reopened after a few hours when things calmed down.

How about mentioning the ethnicity and party affiliations of all other victims of shootings in Karachi? But that wouldn't propagate a specific agenda, now would it?
