Utility Stores Corporation increases salaries of its employees

Salaries of employees from Grades 1 to 16 have been increased by 10% while ones from Grades 17 to 20 by 5%

ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has increased the salaries of its permanent as well as contractual employees.

According to a notification issued by the USC on Tuesday, the salaries of employees from Grades 1 to 16 have been increased by 10%, while the ones from Grades 17 to 20 by 5%. The salaries of daily-wage workers and contractual employees have also been increased, it added.

The increase in salaries of USC employees will be implemented from July 1, 2019 and all the arrears till March 2020 would be paid to its employees in three instalments.

The under matric/matric daily wagers will now get Rs675 as compared with the previous Rs550. Intermediate and drivers will now get daily Rs780 as against Rs650. The daily wages of graduates and MA degree holders have been increased to Rs840 from the earlier Rs700, while that of the MBAs, MComs and MScs will be Rs1,080 from the previous Rs900. The daily wages of MPhil and MS degree holders have been increased to Rs1,440 from the earlier Rs1,200.

The notification added that the daily wagers working in zonal offices and different projects on their day off would be paid extra.

The daily wagers working on their off days would be paid Rs75 extra in addition to their daily pay.
