They stated that provincial rulers have lost trust in each other after losing the public confidence. "Either the government resigns or seeks our support as they are yet to set a mechanism to protect the people from the coronavirus outbreak," Opposition Leader Advocate Malik Sikandar said during a press conference at the Opposition Chamber in the provincial assembly.
Former chief minister and MPA Nawab Aslam Raisani, Sana Baloch, Akhtar Langove, Malik Naseer Shahwani, Fazal Agha and other MPAs were also present on the occasion.
Advocate Sikandar added that people are at the misery of the federal and provincial governments during the COVID-19 outbreak. “These governments have a single agenda to work for the benefit of certain elements,” he said. "In Balochistan, the chief minister and his ministers are not on the same page. All of them are working at cross-purposes for their own gains instead of resolving public issues.”
The Opposition leader went on to say that, "we had raised reservations over the appointment of special assistants on numerous occasions but the government didn’t pay heed. Finally, the high court nullified the decision and termed the Special Assistant Act 2018 unconstitutional.
