Ramazan Planning: Traffic wardens to get iftari on the spot

Iftari would consist of a Jam-i-shireen syrup drink, juice, a cupcake, peaches and dates.

Traffic wardens will be provided iftari at their places of duty to ensure smooth flow of traffic at sunset.


According to a handout issued by the Traffic Police Office, 25 points are being established to provide iftari to over 1,300 traffic wardens who will continue to perform their duties at the end of the fast.

The handout said that iftari would consist of a Jam-i-shireen syrup drink, juice, a cupcake, peaches and dates. It also said that small iftar packets, consisting of dates and dried fruits would also be give to the commuters unable to make it in time.

Addressing the meeting, the CTO said that no officer should leave his post before iftar.

He also advised the policemen not to take days off on Ramazan.
