Even though the period until May 31 was declared a summer vacation by the federal government, FGEI has made available video lectures, digital notes, textbooks according to the new syllabus for classes from pre-primary to grade five on the official website of FGEI. Students and parents will be able to access this academic resource and will allow teachers to perform their instructional duties.
Teachers will be able to assign tasks and send notes to their students either through short text messaging system (SMS) on their phones or via e-mail. They will also prepare weekly progress charts for their respective subjects.
Furthermore, the FGEI have decided to utilise academic resources which will be telecast on a government-established education television channel.
Students will be evaluated per the syllabus and based on the broadcasted academic resources once schools resume on June 1.
