Murder: 1 killed, 1 injured over rivalry

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A court absconder opened fire on two brothers over an old rivalry. According to police officials, one man was killed and another was severely injured by accused Qaisar Shah. Area residents told police officials that Muhammad Ranjha’s brother Iqbal recently wed accused Qaiser Shah and Sajjad Shah’s sister and Qaisar had opposed the match. Ranjha was gunned down outside his workshop by Qaiser and his accomplices on Wednesday morning. Ranjha’s assistant Sontra was also severely injured. The accused fled the scene. Kot Chattha Police Station House Officer (SHO) Ramzan Shahid said a case had been registered against the brothers and their unidentified accomplices.
