Global Recognition: Pakistani students prove their mettle internationally

Students participating in international academic competitions have returned bearing medals and honourable mentions.

ISLAMABAD:


Four teams of talented Pakistani students participating in international academic competitions held in Taiwan, Turkey, Netherlands and Thailand have returned bearing medals and honourable mentions, said a press release.


The teams, altogether, won nine bronze medals and received four honourable mentions in the 22nd International Biology Olympiad held in Taipei, Taiwan; the 43rd International Chemistry Olympiad in Ankara, Turkey; 52nd International Mathematical Olympiad in Amsterdam, Netherlands; and the 42nd International Physics Olympiad held in Bangkok, Thailand.

They were selected from National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Faisalabad, Husein Ebrahim Jamal Research Institute, Karachi University, Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, Government College University Lahore and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences Islamabad.
