Chris Evans lashes out at Donald Trump for his response to COVID-19

Captain America is sick of the President

Entertainment Desk March 16, 2020
In the wake of a global coronavirus crisis, Captain America star Chris Evans has a strong message for the President of the United States, Donald Trump, as reported by Variety.

“We’re all going to be great — we’re going to be so good,” Trump said  as he addressed the nation on Sunday; after a national emergency was called in America following the update that over 3000 Americans had tested positive for the virus.

That's not all - he also left the press conference abruptly, without answering any of the press' questions. Seems like that was the tipping point for Evans who then took to Twitter to slam Trump for his disregard of the severity of the situation.

"The president just ran off stage after his rambling press conference without answering a single question. America wants answers. America wants leadership. America doesn’t want a president who runs off stage during a crisis," he wrote.

Trump's response to the crisis not only irked Evans but a majority of Americans who backed Evans in the replies to his tweet.

This isn't the first time that Evans has expressed his views about Trump - he's earlier called Trump an “absolute dumb s–t” and openly criticised his supporters like Tom Brady and Kanye West.
