On the final day of group stage matches of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL), three teams are still in the running for the remaining two semi-final spots.

Lahore Qalandars will face Multan Sultans while Quetta Gladiators will face Karachi Kings in the remaining matches on Sunday.

Qualification scenarios for Lahore Qalandars

If Lahore wins their match against Multan, they will qualify for the semi-final. In case they don’t, they will have to rely on Karachi to beat Quetta in order to get through to the final four.

Qualification scenarios for Peshawar Zalmi

If Quetta lose their match against Karachi, Peshawar will qualify for the semi-final. If, both, Quetta and Multan win their matches, Peshawar will also qualify for the final four. If both Lahore and Quetta win their matches, then Peshawar will have to hope that Quetta don’t win their match by a minimum of 147 runs (batting first) and or chase down a target of less than or equal to 100 within three overs (batting second).

Qualification scenarios for Quetta Gladiators

If Multan beat Lahore and Quetta wins it match against Karachi, then Quetta will qualify. If Lahore beat Multan, than Quetta will have to beat Karachi by a minimum of 147 runs (batting first) or chase down a target of less than or equal to 100 within three overs (batting second).

Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans have already qualified for the semi-finals while two-time champions Islamabad United have been eliminated from the event — after defeat at the hands of Karachi on Saturday.
