LAHORE: Established Pakistani companies as well as entrepreneurs, typically the young and dynamic brains, have enormous potential to grow their business by using platforms such as IBD, said Punjab Board of Investment and Trade CEO Jahanzeb Burana.

Speaking at a road show organised by IBD in Lahore, Burana appreciated the entity for showing keen interest in Pakistan’s market.

“Such initiatives are essential not only for attracting foreign investment to Pakistan but also for providing an excellent platform to project Pakistani businesses at the global level,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, IBD International Ambassador for Pakistan and Tajikistan Shakeel Ahmed Khan considered it important to find out the true potential of Pakistani businesses and project them globally by providing such platforms for networking. He was of the view that networking was also important for promoting the right image of Pakistan throughout the world and to give a boost to government’s efforts to promote Pakistan’s business, culture and tourism.

“Central Asia and Pakistan are massive reservoirs of opportunities,” said Khan. “During the decades ahead, these economies will offer massive opportunities to international entrepreneurs and investors.”

IBD is set to organise the four-day IBD Summit 2020 in Doha from April 6 to 9 and Khan will lead a delegation of Pakistani business community to Qatar’s capital.

Khan is also expected to lead a team of local ambassadors in different cities of Tajikistan and Pakistan so that they can search for opportunities in the region.
