Over 60 foreign skiers partake in Helenski festival at Shogran

International skiers also met army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, says ISPR

In a bid to promote tourism and explore the serene beauty of Pakistan, over 60 foreigners participate in a week-long Heliski expedition held – jointly under Afiniti and ISPR – in Shogran.

The participants, including men and women from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, UK and US came to be a part of the expedition that aimed to enliven immense potential of Pakistan’s snow clad mountains for adventure sports, ISPR, the military's media wing, said in statement on Saturday.

Earlier, on arrival, the group interacted with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The expedition members also visited Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, where its director general Major General Babar Iftikhar briefed them about improved security environment in Pakistan for sports and tourism as a result of successful counter terrorism efforts.
