The outward migration of educated skilled professionals, technicians from developing countries is increasing rapidly

BADIN: Human capital is one of the major concerns in the developing countries. The outward migration of highly educated skilled professionals and technicians from developing countries is increasing rapidly.

The gathered data from credible sources indicate that Pakistan is one of those developing countries whose skilled labour is working abroad. The reason is that people are more motivated to work in institutions that pay a handsome salary and establish a trust relationship with their employees.

Statistical data show the relationship between them; with respect to quality of education, job opportunities, and technical knowledge is strong in developed countries. Moreover, it is an alarming situation for Pakistan that a majority of the skilled gentry doesn’t stay in the country to serve. Most importantly, this factor will badly hit the economy of Pakistan. The government should take effective measures to stop this from happening. It is evident that developed countries have spent more on the human capital, which leads to prosperity in the region. In contrast developing countries like Pakistan place more stress on GDP growth, which is nothing more than a figure. This does not show the actual development of the country. Rather than increasing the number in GDP each year, Pakistan should focus on human capital as well, to foster societal and social development.
