For an overwhelming majority of us, fringes are something we collectively left back in middle school – the pictures stuffed deep in the back of our drawers. For others, fringes remain elusive – risky but exciting.

They can make or break your look in an instant and can be extremely tricky to get right. And if you get them wrong, you already know you’re going to spend the next few months with more than one bobby pin holding them back. So, are we ready to take the plunge now that fringes seem to be coming back in style?

Here’s a list of 5 celebs, originally compiled by Vogue, which proves that fringes can still be rocked in a major way, and can also be inspo photos for your hairstylist.

1) Taylor Swift

Taylor has rocked many a different version of the fringed haircut, carrying it well into 2019 and 2020. Here’s one of the many looks from T-Swift that make us wish we had that chop – breezy bangs for the summer.

2) Sophie Turner
