Fathers shave teenagers’ hair over theft

FAISALABAD: In a bizarre incident, the fathers of two teenage boys attempted to punish their sons for theft by shaving their heads and eyebrows in Chak Jhumra. Police arrested the two men and registered a case against them.

According to sources, 17-year-old Farman Ali, son of Basharat Ali, and 16-year-old Danish, son of Muhammad Akram, separately stole Rs45,000 from their homes in Chak Jhumra.

Later on, the fathers of both the suspects learnt about the theft. After thrashing the teenage boys, the accused had their hair and eyebrows shaved. Reportedly, the incident created outrage among the residents of the village.

Upon learning about the incident, Chak Jhumra Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Abdul Majeed Gujjar arrested Basharat and Akram and started investigation into the matter.
