SARGODHA: The district administration has decided to remove the garbage, construction debris and makeshift camps of gypsies from Lahore Road and improve the overall cleanliness situation in the city.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by Sargodha Commissioner Farrah Masood on Friday.

Poor cleanliness situation irks residents of Lahore

Presiding over a meeting of the Metropolitan Corporation, she ordered the overhauling and maintenance of 46 vehicles parked inside metropolitan garages so that these could be put to use. The commissioner also stressed the need for steps to establish green belts and parks on both sides of the railway tracks and cleaning of roads in the city.

She also directed the authorities concerned to take steps to streamline and regularise Qingqi rickshaws.
