KARACHI: The woman who had 'miraculously' come back to life after being pronounced dead at Karachi's Abbasi Shaheed Hospital passed away on Thursday.

Doctors confirmed the demise of 50-year-old Rasheeda Bibi, a resident of Baldia Town in the wee hours of the morning.

After the issuance of the death certificate by the doctors, her body was handed over to the family and laid to rest in Mawach Goth.

To everyone's surprise, Rasheeda limbs began moving while being given her last rites at Sohrab Goth's Edhi morgue.

Rasheeda was then shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed hospital and placed on a ventilator.

She had been diagnosed with diabetes and also suffered from high blood pressure.

The deceased had been brought to the public hospital on Tuesday night after a paralytic attack.

Back in 2015, workers at an Edhi mortuary in Karachi also given a rude awakening when a pregnant woman, who was being prepared for burial, suddenly sat up and started reciting the Kalma.

Manzoora Bibi was also being given the funeral bath when she got up and took everyone by surprise.
