WhatsApp to launch digital payments service in India
The impact of the shutdown in occupied Kashmir has proved calamitous to the economy, crushing innovation in the region and leading to a mass exodus of young people in search of new jobs.
In recent news, the Indian police have issued a notice suggesting that people have to officially register their WhatsApp group at the nearest police station.

The notice stated, "It is also pertinent to mention that incriminating pictures and audios are being circulated through social media, resulting in embarrassment and defamation to the grieved persons. Monitoring cell of the police station, Leh, is eyeing on such persons who attempt/try to disturb the peaceful environment."

"These include uploading hate posts, morphed pictures, audios and videos on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. General public of the district is, hereby, requested to desist from the misuse of social media platforms by uploading sensitive content which may pose a grave threat to peace and communal harmony in the district."
Hence all content is monitored and those who post questionable content will be held accountable.
