CM directs acquiring land for university, hospital  

Says legislation for Swat District Development Authority and master plan for three projects will be ensured in time

PESHAWAR: Establishment of an engineering university and a paediatrics hospital will be made possible at Kanju township Swat district, said Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Sunday.

The required land will also be identified soon for the establishment of Women Engineering University Swat. The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to work and negotiate with the local people to resolve the land issue efficiently further directing that a report regarding the matter should be submitted within two weeks.

CM also directed Malakand commissioner and Swat deputy commissioner to seek the consent of the local people for the resolution of land issue so that the inauguration of these projects would made possible in July this year.

He said that legislation for Swat District Development Authority and master plan for all these three projects will also be ensured in time.

The chief minister was presiding over a meeting regarding the establishment of Engineering University Swat, Paediatrics Hospital Swat and Women Engineering University Swat at CM House Peshawar.
