RAWALPINDI: As part of their efforts to arrest the suspects involved in the deadly, armed Dhoke Kala Khan clash between two groups, the Rawalpindi police on Sunday asked the relevant authority to block the identity cards of the 11 suspects nominated.

Meanwhile, the shops in the two plazas in the area have finally reopened after a week.

Members of the Chaudhry group had allegedly attacked a tent of the Nambardar group in the Dhoke Kala Khan area on November 21. An armed clash ensued in which both groups opened fire on each other leaving four people dead and seven others wounded.

The Rawalpindi police said that four of the 19 suspects including Yaseen Khan, Ashab Khan, Umar Aijaz and Imran Zafar have been arrested while four other suspects have managed to obtain pre-arrest bails from a local court.

To force the remaining 11 suspects to surrender themselves and to prevent their escape, they said that they have written to the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) to block their computerised national identity cards (CNICs).

Meanwhile, the Sadiqbad police have started conducting raids to arrest the fugitives.
