The photo-sharing app took to their Twitter account to state that the company is aware of the problem and is working on fixing it too.

According to Independent, all users faced different sorts of issues with some being able to view all content but the newsfeed not updating while for some the app had locked them out and users were not able to log in again.
Downdetector, a website that detects when services go down or have outages was the first to take to their Twitter account and tell users that Instagram and Facebook went out around the same time.

This does remind many users of the time not long ago when all social media apps including WhatsApp had faced an outage and only Twitter was working.
