Woman murdered in firing incident

The accused shot the woman after her parents refused a proposal

SARGODHA: A woman was murdered in an incident of firing in the jurisdiction of Sahiwal police on Monday.

Police officials said that Muhammad Mubashir, son of Faiz and resident of Mongowali village, Sahiwal tehsil wanted to marry Phulan Shahzadi but her parents refused the proposal.

On the day of the incident, the victim Phulan was heading towards a market along with her family members for shopping when the accused Mubashir, along with his accomplices, Muhammad Sher and Mubashir shot Phulan dead and managed to flee.

The body was handed over to the heirs after postmortem.
