Subsidies provided for agri initiatives

For the welfare of farmers across the district

SARGODHA: Under prime minister’s (PM) agriculture initiatives, subsidies worth Rs120 million are being provided for the welfare of farmers across the district, said Member of National Assembly (MNA) Amir Sultan Cheema.

Speaking to the media after balloting of PM agriculture initiative for farmers, he said that under the national programme, construction and maintenance of water courses, construction of water storage ponds and distribution of laser levelers were included.

“The government is distributing laser levelers among farmers who have 12 acres of land under a transparent balloting process.”

A subsidy of Rs250,000 on each leveler would be provided while farmers can purchase machinery from approved distributors, he further said.
