Pakistani martial arts grandmaster Tai wins best judge award in Malaysia

Tai was only Pakistan invited as judge during International Carnival Championship

LAHORE: Pakistani martial arts grandmaster Waseem Ashraf Tai was named the best judge as the International Carnival Championship came to an end.



Participants from all across the globe participated in the even held in Malaysia.

Tai was the only Pakistani to have been asked to officiate in the event.



A 10th degree Dan (Black Belt), a two-time Afro-Asian Martial Arts Champion (1978-1979) and a 9-time Pakistan Karate Champion, Tai was honoured with Pakistan's highest civilian award, the Pride of Performance award in 2003.



Tai received the best judge award from the Education Minister of Malaysia.

He later distributed certificates and medals to the winning athletes.
