As Sri Lanka beats Pakistan by 13 runs, winning the series 3-0

KECH: After almost a decade the Pakistan cricket team has been able to play at home, against Sri Lanka. In the final T20, which was played on Wednesday, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 13 runs, winning the series 3-0. SL won all 3 matches quite easily as Pakistani batsmen didn’t seem to stay for long on the wicket. If one is to look at the SL squad, there wasn’t any senior or experienced player like Lasith Malinga, Kusals Mendis, T Perera and many more; still Pakistan were unable to outclass them in the short format. Furthermore, once again Pakistani batsmen fared poorly on the field. The fielding was below par as lots of catches were dropped. In the whole T20 series no Pakistani batsman crossed 70 runs in the 3 matches which was quite upsetting. Irresponsible batting and wrong shot selection put Pakistan and Misbah-ul-Haq in deep trouble. The fans of all players were very much disappointed with their performance. The head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, and others need to work more on batting, because our batsmen are talented but are not talent it to the fullest. Ahmed Shahzad and Umer Akmal got a chance after a long time but once again they failed to perform. These two played in such a bad manner that it can’t be described in words. It is a suggestion to all players and coaches to spend more time in practising. Work hard on the weak points, be confident and play like a one-man team.
