An Indonesian woman walked down the aisle with a Pakistani man hailing from Pakpattan after she befriended him on Facebook, Express News reported on Tuesday.

Amir Sohail, the bridegroom, resident of Arifwala village, fell in love with Devi Ferry Valendairi after she got in touch with him on the popular social networking platform.

The couple tied the knot soon after the Indonesian bride arrived in Pakistan for the wedding ceremonies with her online lover.

Moreover, after facing "unnecessary" interference of local police in the wedding, the newly-weds lodged a complaint with an additional session court.

Subsequently, the court has summoned the police personnel while ordering them to submit a report on the matter.

In June, an Indonesian woman left Pakistan after being cheated by a Pakistani man, who promised her a ‘bright future’ in the country on Facebook.
