Lahore NAB recovers PPCBL-owned land

The land is situated in Toba Tek Singh district and comprised of seven commercial shops owned by the bank

LAHORE: Lahore National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered land worth Rs50 million owned by the Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited (PPCBL) from illegal occupation on Saturday.

The land is situated in Toba Tek Singh district and comprised of seven commercial shops owned by the bank.

The bank administration filed a complaint before the NAB. Subsequently, an inquiry was marked against the prime suspect Malik Amjad Ali. During interrogation, it was revealed that he had allocated these lands on lease in 2009. Later on, the accused illegally occupied the land and got it transferred against his name. NAB investigations team not only cleared the land from the grabber but also got transferred the rent money in the accounts of bank. NAB vowed to hand over the possession of the recovered land to PPCBL soon.
