Southern Command Chief calls on CM, governor

Discusses overall law and order situation in the province

QUETTA: The newly appointed Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Waseem Ashraf on Tuesday met Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal to discuss the overall law and order situation in the province.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Waseem Ashraf and CM Jam Kamal vowed to utilise more efforts to ensure peace and stability in Balochistan.  The chief minister lauded the sacrifices of the security forces for restoring peace.

Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Waseem Ashraf and Chief Minister Jam Kamal also expressed satisfaction over the overall security situation prevailing in the province and reiterated the need to continue civil-military cooperation towards achieving provincial development and prosperity.

Balochistan CM condemns atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir

Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Tuesday also met the newly appointed Commander Southern Command and discussed the provincial law and order situation in detail.

“Due to the prolong instability on the Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran borders, law and order situation has remained a key issue in Balochistan, but the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have successfully utilised their best efforts to ensure and maintain peace in this province,” Balochistan Governor said while lauding the accomplishments of the security forces.

He added that following the emergence of peace in Balochistan, the future of the province looks brighter.
