K-P students grab IT awards

PESHAWAR: Young students from the public sector schooling system of Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) claimed the top two positions in a Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA) awards.

The awards were grabbed in the junior student category of information and communication technology.

Over 150,000 students to repeat exams

Abdullah Swati from the Labarkot Government High School in Mansehra secured the first position while Luqman Khan and Ziya Khan from the Baghdada Government Higher Secondary School in Mardan took the second prize of the competition.

The students were trained in the Early Age Programming (EAP) initiative of the K-P Information technology Board (K-PITB) to strengthen information and communication technology in the province.

Along with students, K-P awards schools and officials

Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Technology Kamran Bangash, K-PITB Managing Director Dr Shahbaz Khan praised the achievement.

“The protracted efforts of our trainers and zeal of our students have paid off by outshining and making our province proud once again,” said Dr Shahbaz.
