Provincial Minister Fayyaz Chohan accused of pressurising authorities concerned for awarding grace marks to his son

RAWALPINDI: A committee led by Dr Ghulam Jhagra has completed inquiry of the scandal of awarding extra marks to the son of a minister. Provincial Minister Fayyaz Chohan has been accused of pressurising the authorities concerned for awarding grace marks to his son Fahad Chohan in his Physics practical examination. Dr Jhagra had obtained all related records of Fahad’s examination, including record of theory and his practical papers. He also had records of the proceeding and preceding roll numbers of students who appeared in exams with Fahad. The statements of the examiners, head examiners and assistant examiners had also been recorded while a report is being written and expected to be presented to Rawalpindi Education Board Chairman Dr Ghulam Dastagir until Saturday. In this regard, the spokesperson of board Arsalan Cheema told on contact that chairman committee was provided with all required documents which he sought from the board. He added that they were now waiting for the report.
